Rose Ann Whitesell
1946-2018
The entire village of Shawnee on Delaware, the home of Stony Brook Inn, mourns the passing of Innkeeper, Rose Ann Whitesell. For all of our friends and guests who knew her, we know she will be missed.
Rose Ann dreamed of owning a B & B for many years, and her dream became reality when Rose Ann & Pete opened Stony Brook Inn in June 2001. Even while she was busy with her 33 year teaching career, she was planning and decorating in her mind what the Inn would look like, as well as finding special recipes she would serve her guests.
She was a great traveler and loved the outdoors, whether on the river, climbing mountains or riding her bike in the desert.
Her husband Pete as well as all her friends and guests will miss her greatly.
